“Among the basic MS Dilanza units developed by Jeturk Heavy Machinery, a number have been customized for their pilots. One of these has been modified to suit the piloting style of Guel Jeturk, heir to the company. Its outward appearance has also been tailored to fit Guel’s penchant for the ostentatious. Painted in a vivid magenta and fitted with a decorative headpiece, this unit embodies the skill and unshakeable self-confidence which made Guel, Asticassia’s best pilot. It gives the impression that no other unit could be worthy of such a pilot.”

Beam Partizan

A polearm which can generate high convergence-rate beam blades extending from one end.

Beam Torch

A melee weapon common to all Dilanza units, with a broad beam blade.

Beam Rifle

A standard sidearm developed for MS units by Jeturk Heavy Machinery. In addition to its burst attack, it boasts several other firing modes.

Spike Shield

Defensive equipment attached to each shoulder, exclusive to this unit. Furnished with a spike, they can also serve as striking weapons.

Everything a Hot Headed Duelist Desires

Both Spike Shields can store the Beam Torch….
.. as well as the Beam Rifle and its magazine.
The rear skirt pivots vertically, then the two side pieces have as some limited horizontal movement.
Quinn’s Opinion

Punk Rock Attitude, Heavy Metal Presence

+ The gargantuan Beam Partizan’s “Witch from Mercury glow” makes the model catch your eye no matter where it’s placed on your shelf.
+ The Spike Shields can pivot horizontally and vertically, and are my favorite aspect of the design.

– Although there are no polycaps in the model, some joints suffer from limited articulation (mainly the legs & neck). The arms function well by themselves, but the overall ridged body makes things tricky when trying to align everything for two-handed Beam Partizan action poses.
– Additionally, the sheer weight of the Beam Partizan will cause the wrist to sag in many one-handed poses.

This kit will always be sentimental to me because Amby picked it out on our first visit to Galactic Toys’ main retail store. She was drawn to the vivid colors and distinct polearm on the box. At the time I hadn’t started the show but this one-episode-wonder was a fun and exciting preview for the WFM line.

Guel was one of my favorite characters to watch grow & develop through the series.

That plume has to be synthetic, right?
