“A Gundam type mobile suit given to the Dawn of Fold, an anti-Spacian organization active on Earth. It is a substantially upgraded version of Gundam Lfrith Pre-Production Model once sold by Ochs Earth Corporation. Though it bears the Lfrith name, its frame, exterior, and almost everything besides the GUND FORMAT base components, are newly manufactured. With new capabilities geared toward short sorties, it boasts superior standard output values than regular battle models. With power surpassing expectations for any mobile suit, the Lfrith Ur is a manifestation of one of the Mobile Suit Development Council’s fears concerning GUND-ARM, or in other words, GUNDAM.“

Gundam Equipment

Beam Gatling Gun

A portable firearm whos barrel rotates to fire beam pellets in rapid succession. Ammunition is supplied by a high-capacity battery which allows for quick consecutive fire. The gun shield on one side provides additional protection while the Beam Gatling Gun is in use.

Phased Array Cannon

A large piece of equipment attached to the back of the mobile suit. When open, it can fire an extremely powerful, high directivity beam. In conjunction with GUND FORMAT, it allows for intuitive wide-range attacks. It supposedly has additional functions which can be unlocked with a high Permet score.

Beam Saber

A close-range weapon that projects a beam blade. Stored in the back of the gun shield, it can be drawn by rotating the attachment part to release it.

Shell Unit

A control terminal that enables enormous data transfers between mobile suit and pilot. It emits light when GUND FORMAT operation reaches a certain level.

Kit Features

(Emotional) Devastation at Any Range

The barrel of the **Beam Gatling Gun** spins freely and the **Beam Sabers** can be seen attached to the shield.

The skirt armor is made up of three pieces, Left/Right + Rear. The rear armor is fixed in place but the side skirts can pivot out of the way of the legs for most poses.

The **Phased Array Cannon** can close…
(the red foil should be black to reflect its inactive state)

…and the **Phased Array Cannon** can open.

Sophie is my Favorite Sociopath

Cheers:

+ The foregrip of the Beam Gatling Gun swivels out of place when not in use, and can be swapped with the shield for ambidextrous use.
+ I really like the way the Shell Unit looks in the chest. I used a dull toothpick to push the decal into the recesses model and it gives a subtle texture between the red effects.
+ I LOVE the heavy, armored look of the Gundam Lfrith Ur. It absolutely feels like something the Lfrith Pre-Production in the prologue would have been developed into.

Cons:

– [anime criticism] HOW did we never see the Phased Array Cannon fire?!? This isn’t even the only suit with one!
– The enclosure for the Shell Unit on the forehead is very thick and obscures visibility.

Closing thoughts:

Ranking is pointless but Sophie is one of my absolute top favorite characters from the show.
