HG / GWITCH #12 – Beguir-Pente

“One of Grassley Defense Systems‘ mobile suit development lines the CE Line has continued to improve on after the 3rd generation unit Beguir-Beu. Improving their designs in relation to industry standards of the day. The result of these efforts was the brand new Beguir-Pente, a direct descendant of Grade-K technology. Its high performance makes it a worthy flagship unit. It is also the designated operational testing unit. Grassley House at the Asticassia School of Technology has five of them. The unit, working in conjunction with the CF Line’s new Michaelis, took part in anti-GUND-ARM operations.”

Mobile Suit Equipment

Beam Rifle

A customized portable firearm fitted with a large energy tank which gives extended combat capabilities. Utilizing twin sensors, the rifle boasts superb accuracy.

Beam Saber

A close range weapon, stored in the back of the Non-Kinetic Shield, that projects a beam blade.

Non-Kinetic Shield

A large shield fitted with a GUND FORMAT interference equipment, commonly refered to as Antidote. The shield’s grip is a separate part, which allows the shield to be separately launched. The launched shield can be controlled via a wire from long range when ejected.

Backpack

Equipment mounted to the rear of the unit comprised of a high capacity thruster and a support Antidote. The sensors rise to a vertical position when activated.

The Backpack sensors raise & expand to deploy Antidote.

The armor panels of the Non-Kinetic Shield expand & contract depending on the Antidote status.

The feet can close in like a claw.

Grassley’s Specialist Suit is Splendid

Cheers:

+ I absolutely love the color palette.
+ The kit includes a clear display base to support the Non-Kinetic Shield.
+ I really like the design of the Large Beam Rifle.

Cons:

– Due to the model’s design, the torso/hip and torso/shoulder joints are fairly easy to dislodge while posing. It’s not difficult to re-insert them around the armor pieces, but it makes me concerned for long term.

Closing thoughts:

This was a fun & easy kit to put together, I’ve seen other people comment about the 16 stickers for the Backpack, but tweezers & patience made it a non-issue.

The main reason I wanted this kit was to build a scene of it getting thrashed by Sophie Pulome’s Lfrith Ur.
