Developed by Mike Howard & the 5 Gundam Scientists, the Tallgeese is the prototype of all mobile suits in the After Colony era. It combines extreme power and high mobility, but imposes a severe burden on the human body. To solve this problem and reduce production costs, the design was simplified to create the Leo.

The weapon is fully articulated and able to simulate the bolt’s travel and barrel’s recoil from firing.

Dober Gun

Massive rifle equipped to the right shoulder. It is able to fire physical shells as well as beam energy.

A circular shield equipped to the left shoulder.

The kit comes with pink & clear saber effect parts.

Beam Saber

Melee weapons for close range combat. A beam glade is generated from the squared off handle. They are able to cut through any material untreated with anti-beam coating.

Super Vernier Boosters

Immensely powerful boosters that are capable of producing acceleration strong enough to incapacitate most pilots.

The Speed of Lightning & the Power of a Storm

The interior of the Shield has a grip for handheld use, as well as swivel mounted storage for both Beam Sabers.
The rear & side skirts also expand to reveal additional thrusters.
The helmet may be removed to reveal the core sensor shared with the Leo.
Additionally, the cockpit hatch opens.

This After Colony Classic Never Goes Out of Style

This kit is everything I love about the Real Grade line!

+ The knees are especially impressive with armor panels separating while posing to reveal the detailed inner workings & gaps between the limb sections.
+ Every color of the model has multiple shades and the decal sheet makes the end result look absolutely astounding.

– The Dober Gun can be super tricky to get into a natural looking pose.
– The Super Vernier Boosters are firmly attached to the suit, but the moving sections need to be balanced carefully while posing to prevent gravity from changing them.

Tallgeese standing back to back with the Leo

The Tallgeese has been a lifelong favorite. I love the realistic design, iconic plumed helmet, & clunky Dober Gun.

[this section will probably be moved to a different showcase once I build Treize’s Tallgeese II.] I rewatched Gundam Wing while building this kit & the Wing Gundam Zero EW. Growing up I caught it out of order on Toonami which made the story even harder to follow. Now after having watched it 30 years after its original release, Milliardo & Treize have been cemented as the best parts of the show. In my youthful ignorance I didn’t realize the depth of their relationship. They are unapologetically queer and I love that the anime doesn’t try and frame it being any part of their conflict. “Milliardo, I will be waiting on the other side.”
